2026 Hair trends: Mind your B's

Bixies, bangs, and Brooklyn burns…

As we enter the mid 2020’s, here is a refresh on the hairstyles, techniques, and terminology that define the decade.

Bob

  • Chin-to-shoulder lengths with a weighty perimeter softened by invisible texture. Think precision without stiffness.

Bangs (Baby, Birkin, Curtain…)

  • Baby, Birkin, curtain… all of them.

  • The easiest way to update a haircut without changing the haircut.

Bixie

  • Bob meets pixie

  • Low maintenance for ease of styling. Blow out creams or sea salts for texture.

Block Color

  • Strategic panels of saturated color where movement matters most. Bold, intentional placement patterns.

Brooklyn Burns (my favorite accessory trending this year)

  • The transformation from heavy corners to layered angles around the framing of the face. Textured pieces around the jaw or lips. Exaggerated with styling creams and pastes. Think modern shag, not mullet.
