Nothing excites me more than realizing our industry refuses to stand still.
I know I made the right career choice when my heart flutters with the latest version of the shag, new scissors that cut like a razor, or finally treating myself to upgraded Dyson technology (my most recent godsend).
This year I worked to perfect my calligraphy hair cut tool. Sharper than a razor, hair is sliced on an angle. Influenced by florists cutting the stems of flowers, it promotes health, growth, and fullness. I learned this skill on a quick trip to Boston at the Maven and the Muse hair salon on a crisp, sunny Sunday.
The full day course was taught by gold star certified calligraphy cut hairstylists and owners of the quaint yet funky salon, Erica and David. With hands on experience, I left ready to push my razor skills further and sharper than ever!
