Hair Care Future Forward

Staying relevant is an exciting part of being a hairstylist. Some stylists feel weighed down by the constant change in trend, tools, and technology, yet I know I made the right career choice when my heart flutters with the latest version of the shag, scissors that cut like a razor, or upgraded Dyson technology (my most recent god send).

Every new cutting or hair painting video is a thrill to watch. I think of whose eyes would light up when framed with a wispy bang or a radiant balayage enhanced with a Scandinavian hairline.

This year I worked to perfect my calligraphy hair cut tool. Sharper than a razor this cuts the hair on an angle similar to florists cutting stems and promotes health, growth, and fullness.

It was a trip to Boston to the Maven and the Muse on a crisp, sunny weekend the winter before last. The full day course was taught by gold star certified calligraphy cut and owner of the quaint yet funky salon, Erica and by David, the Board of Directors of an elite international hairstylists group called Intercoiffure. With hands on experience, I left ready to push my razor skills further and sharper than ever!

The past fall I had the pleasure of attending a class with a previous co-worker of mine. Intimate and cozy, the educator refreshed our take on the butterfly cut with pedals and curtain bangs, a signature style of mine. I left inspired, refreshed and warm at heart, old friends, new experiences.

The new Dyson blow dryer presented a better diffuser, something I’ve been craving for too long now. This to make life with curls an easier feat than ever!

Individual, precise and modern, I can’t wait to indulge you with the most up to date hair care!
